Privacy
FA is a private, invite-only test run by one person for a few friends. It is not a bank, and it doesn't give investment advice.
What FA stores
- Your bank data, through Plaid: balances and transactions for the accounts you connect. FA never sees your bank password. Plaid gives FA a key that can only read.
- Your Gmail, only if you connect it. FA reads receipts and bill emails to find subscriptions, and saves short facts from them (company, amount, date). Access is read-only, so nothing can be sent or deleted.
- Things you enter, such as goals, labels and letters FA drafts for you.
How it's kept
- Your data sits in its own folder on one private server, apart from everyone else's. No other user can see it.
- The bank and Gmail keys are encrypted on disk. Traffic is HTTPS only.
- Nothing is sold or shared, and there are no ads or trackers. Plaid and Google see what they need to connect your accounts.
- The "Ask FA" chat is turned off here, so your data isn't sent to any AI model.
- The person running FA has admin access to the server. Only connect accounts if you trust them with that.
Leaving
On the Account page, Delete my data disconnects your banks from Plaid, revokes FA's Gmail access with Google, and erases your folder for good. You can also remove FA from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
